This helped my facial scar from surgery. It was a thick scar, now it is flat. Works really well. Less is more when using.

It Works!
I can’t believe the difference in my legs! The first picture was taken a month ago and the second picture was taken today. The redness/discoloration is so much lighter. These are scars from surgeries or other incidental injuries. I’m a senior citizen and I couldn’t stand the way my legs looked. This product is wonderful. It said it can take up to three months to see improvement and I’m seeing this much after only a month! I am applying at religiously twice a day. Very, very happy.

After about three months of consistent use, I’ve noticed a clear improvement in my foot surgery scars. The larger incision has become smoother and more even in tone, and the smaller scar that previously felt firm underneath has softened over time. It hasn’t been an overnight change, but with steady application, the progress has been noticeable.One thing that really matters is applying a very thin layer. More is not better. A fine layer forms a protective silicone barrier over the scar, which helps maintain hydration and creates the ideal environment for remodeling. When I applied too much early on, it just felt sticky and didn’t absorb properly. A thin layer twice a day worked much better.From what I’ve learned, silicone has strong clinical backing compared to options like vitamin E oil. Silicone works by creating an occlusive, breathable barrier that reduces water loss, regulates collagen production, and helps flatten and soften raised scars. Vitamin E, on the other hand, has mixed evidence and can sometimes cause skin irritation without consistently improving scar appearance. Silicone is widely considered the gold standard for hypertrophic and keloid scars.The only downside for me is the packaging. The long plastic tube becomes harder to squeeze as it empties, and it can take quite a bit of pressure to get the silicone out toward the end. Worth every penny!
At first I didn’t buy this for my knee replacement surgery because of the price. I first purchased a less expensive silicone tape. It was okay, but I wasn’t seeing any change to the scar. When I had my second surgery a friend recommended the ScarAway tape that his doctor had given him for his face. I purchased both, but started with the gel. It’s a tiny tube, but I don’t even need a pea sized drop for each knee, so a little goes a long way! I’ve been using it steadily for the last two weeks (I’m 6 months and 7 weeks, respectively out of surgery) and there is a very noticeable improvement on my scars. The first knee scar was an ugly raised purple scar that is now almost completely flat and is fading just as fast as my newer scar. I’m so happy with the results.

Fantastic for scars after laser treatment
My girlfriend had surgery recently and was not happy about the look of the scars left after her mastopexy procedure. Doctors recommended laser treatment to minimize the scarring. After the laser procedure she was told to use a specific type of gel but when we looked it up it was crazy expensive (tiny tube for like 50 bucks) . I look for another gel with the same ingredients but more affordable. I found this one so she gave it a try. After finishing her first tube, she tells me the scarring has improved alot so now we are going to continue to keep using this one. Is unfortunate that they don’t sell bigger tubes

Beauty’s Only Scar Deep…
Fell out of bed, had a gash behind my left cheek bone. Discovered the benefits of crazy glue for skin at the ER, avoided stitches, and healed nicely. My step dtr’s an urgent care doctor- suggested scar gel. First used CVS’ scar gel kit that works well. ScarAway (SA) had good reviews on Amazon so giving it a try.SA’s silicone gel in a tube is thick and lets you massage it in 1-2 minutes for a protective layer during the day. SA’s silicone bandage can be cut to size, is textured, though it peels off at night while sleeping.CVS silicone bandages are clear, can also be sized, and stay on through the night. Drawback is CVS’ gel comes in a roller to apply a thin coating, though seems to last during the day.Overall- studies show medical grade silicone in these two products is better vs onion based products for making scars less noticeable.

Surgical Hand Scar Barely Noticeable
This worked great on the surgical scar on my hand. After 3 months, my scar is barely noticeable. I did alternate usage of this product with cocoa butter though to be 100% honest. The combination worked!
